A common concern within our county is that too many students are entering the secondary schools not on level in both reading and math. A proposal was made that the elementary school should focus on math, reading, and writing while the other contents (social studies and science) are introduced in the middle school level. With this focus, the hopes would be to increase the reading and math levels that would allow the students to succeed in the other contents as well.
